The procedure: The procedure is performed under general endotracheal anaesthesia. The patient stays at the clinic for 1-2 days after the operation. Drainage tubes and sutures are removed 2 and 7 days post op, respectively. For at least 4 weeks the patient must wear a special individually selected bra. Breast massage should be started 7 days after the operation. Haematomas resorb within 2-3 weeks.
