Breast reduction

The procedure: The procedure is performed under general endotracheal anaesthesia. The patient stays at the clinic for 1-2 days after the operation. Drainage tubes are removed 2 days post op, while sutures 7 and 10 days post op. For at least 4 weeks the patient must wear a special individually selected bra.

 

 

 


 Tests required prior to the procedure:

  • complete blood count and ESR
  • glucose
  • coagulation time
  • blood type
  • sodium
  • potassium
  • urinalysis
  • chest x-ray
  • ECG
  • HBsAg
  • HCV
